Leaders Guide
Your Role as a Conversation Facilitator
As a volunteer, your main role is to facilitate conversation — not to preach, lead a Bible study, or serve as the spiritual authority in the room.
You are here to:
-
Encourage students to share their thoughts about the Bible in a safe and welcoming space
-
Listen with care and pray quietly as the Holy Spirit moves
-
Help others practice English through reflection questions and guided conversation
Please do not stand up to preach or take over the conversation time with teachings or personal sermons. This is a space for shared learning and honest reflection, not a platform to practice preaching or church leadership skills.
Remember: Your presence matters. Your kindness, humility, and ability to listen well reflect Jesus beautifully. Let’s create space for the Holy Spirit to work — without trying to take His place.

Step 1
Read the Verse Out Loud from your Bible
You (the teacher) begin by reading the verse slowly and clearly out loud.
Let the students listen to the tone, rhythm, and meaning in your voice.
Step 2
Bring your Bible to Class
Invite the students to open their Bibles -not the slide- (paper or phone) to Read the Word of God together in English and Spanish.
Invite all the students to repeat the verse aloud together after you. This helps with pronunciation, confidence, and comprehension. You can say: “Now, let’s all say it together out loud.”

Step 3
Vocabulary Slide
You (the teacher) read the vocabulary slides provided clearly and enthusiastically. Give the word in English and Spanish and ask students to repeat only the vocabulary words in both languages.
Step 4
Read Out Loud
You (the teacher) read the questions provided for the verse clearly and enthusiastically.

Step 5
Small Group Discussion - Pairs or Groups of 3
Make sure the slide with the discussions questions is displayed on the screen during this time so all students can easily see the questions as they talk together
Step 6
REGROUP and Share
After 10 minutes, bring everyone back together. Ask: “Would someone like to share what your group talked about?” If no one volunteers, kindly say: “If no one wants to share, I’ll choose someone — don’t worry, we’re all learning here. ”This creates gentle accountability without pressure.

Step 7
Share about yourself first
Before the class, pray for God to give you something meaningful to share — a personal thought or reflection. When students hear your own experience or opinion, it helps them relate to you and builds trust. Keep it short, authentic, and connected to the verse.
Step 8
Ask God to
Give you wisdom + grace to lead the room with love, joy, peace and gentleness.
Inspire the students to speak boldly.
Help them see His truth through Scripture.
Touch the hearts of the students in your classroom
Be prepared for the Holy Spirit to transform lives
