Thanks to the generosity of people like you, The Lingo Project is able to continue expanding its mission of teaching English and spreading the gospel. Every donation we receive has a direct impact on our operations and the lives of our students. Here’s how the funds are distributed:
-
Volunteer food expenses: Our volunteers are the heart of this project. Their efforts and dedication are essential, so part of the donations goes toward covering food expenses during classes and events we organize for them.
-
School supplies and work materials: Provide the necessary resources for our volunteers to have the right materials to teach, such as teacher books, curriculums, markers, and other educational tools.
-
Gift cards: For students who are struggling financially, we provide gift cards to help basic needs that could otherwise hinder their ability to attend classes. Your donation ensures they can continue their education without additional barriers.
-
Employees: Some of the funds raised go toward compensating employees who make the project run smoothly, ensuring that the team responsible for management, logistics, and teaching can continue their work effectively.
-
Projects for new locations: With your support, we can expand to new communities and open more English learning centers, bringing the opportunity to learn and grow to more people who need it.
-
Supporting missionaries: We also use donations to support missionaries who wish to serve in other countries, helping them reach communities in need of education and guidance through our programs.
-
Platform systems: We invest in digital platforms and educational systems that facilitate online learning and enhance the experience for both students and instructors. This includes maintaining technological platforms and tools that allow students to access our classes more effectively.
Thank you for making all of this possible!
The education of one adult can transform an entire family.

Building bridges through language, faith, and friendship.
Every day, adult English learners dream of connecting more deeply—with their neighbors, their children’s schools, their workplaces, and their communities.
The Lingo Project’s “Bridge Builders” program invites sponsors to stand in that gap—equipping adult learners with the English skills and confidence they need to thrive. When you become a Bridge Builder, you’re not just sponsoring a class—you’re helping build a bridge of understanding, opportunity, and belonging.
Why “Bridge Builders”?
Language can either divide or connect us.
We believe God calls us to be bridge builders—people who bring communities together through compassion, communication, and shared purpose.
By sponsoring a learner, you help them communicate confidently in English, build relationships in their community, participate in their children’s education, and share their stories and faith in a new language.
Real Stories, Real Impact
"The truth is that the Bible verses are one of the things I have enjoyed most in the Lingo class because they have brought me closer to God through love. Before Lingo, I went to different places, and people spoke to me about God. I listened, but I continued living in the same way until I got to the Lingo class and we started discussing the verses.
Also, learning English gives me confidence to speak in public without the fear of being criticized or corrected. In my job, it has helped me perform better. Now, I want to learn more about God and, of course, the language as well. God changes, God transforms. In the name of Jesus, amen."
Level 1 student
"It’s really beautiful to have Bible verses during an English class because I wasn’t used to hearing anyone talk about God. Going over Bible verses during the class at Lingo have gotten me closer to Him.
I used to think of God's existence only when I was going through difficult times, but having the Bible verses time during class makes me keep Him in mind all the time.
The truth is, I’m glad I’ve gotten closer to God when I needed Him the most, and sometimes when I’m going through a problem, God speaks to me with a verse from the ESL class."

We're Doing Things Differently
At The Lingo Project, we’re transforming lives through English and faith. Unlike most ESL ministries that stay within the walls of a church, we take our classes on mission—reaching schools and community spaces to serve everyone. Each class ends with 30 minutes of Scripture and discussion, helping students grow in language and spirit.
We believe that learning is most meaningful when students take ownership of their journey. That’s why we include a small monthly fee—empowering adult learners to commit to their education while keeping the program accessible for all. Your support helps us continue this life-changing mission.
